Materials Needed:
Alphabet Bead Bracelet
- Alphabet beads to spell name (size 11/0)
- 24 inches 1mm cording (choose your color)
- Beading thread (complimentary color)
- 2 end crimps for the cording
- Multi-colored seed beads (size 11/0)
- Lobster Claw clasp
- Beading needle
- Needle nose pliers
Procedure
Step 1
The first thing to do is to fold the cording in half. Let the tails of the cord hang down and hold the cording fold from the upper side. Tie a beading thread at precisely half inch below from the top fold on one of the cording tails and hold the cording along with the tied thread on the right side.
Step 2
Now put a multi colored seed bead onto the beading and pass the beading thread over the left cording tail. Also, pass it over the top of the cording.
Step 3
Next, stretch the beading thread back towards the bottom of the cording and pass the beading thread within the same
seed bead. Make sure that the tension is tight enough to secure the positions of the beads placed along the cording.
Step 4
Now pass the beading thread towards the right by passing it over the top of the cording tail and then up from the bottom. Once done, again add another seed bead to the beading thread. Now repeat the same step of passing the beading thread over the cording top but this time towards the left side then up again from underneath. This way you would be doing a sort of bead stitching.
Step 5
Continue repeating the step of adding bead in the similar fashion until you reach less than half way on the cording. Now here, start adding the alphabet beads in the spelling of the desired name. Once through with the name, repeat the process of adding the multi colored seed beads up till the length of the seed bead bracelet is appropriate enough for tying it on the wrist.
Step 6
Finally, finish the bracelet by crimping crimp beads at the two ends of the bracelet. Put a crimp bead on the cording and make a small loop with the cording. Pass the cording end back into the crimp and squeeze it with needle-nose pliers. Cut off the excess cording. Repeat the same on the other end and well, you are done with a beautiful, trendy alphabet bead bracelet.
