It is a common reaction that people often miss onto the symbolic details behind a particular activity which about fun, frolic and festivities. Following the same general perception, not many know the actual symbolism behind the Mardi Gras beads activity which is an integral part of the Mardi Gras carnival. Some of the most renowned celebrations are held in Cologne (Germany), Nice (France), New Orleans (USA) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). A little research can indeed explain the idea behind this popular activity.
Since the centuries gone by, it has been a tradition for the people participating in the parade to throw out beads or trinklets or even
beaded jewelery over any of the person in crowd who's shouting the phrase "Throw me something, mister". The parade participants or 'floats' as they are fondly called, oblige the spectator by throwing Mardi Gras beads onto him.
The traditional Mardi Gras beads color scheme is specifically, purple, green and gold, where, purple stands for justice, green stands for faith and gold showcases power. Though with the ever growing enthusiasm for Mardi Gras celebrations, the color,
bead shapes and designs of these beads too keep on increasing every year.
Interestingly, these beads are not the only things which are a part of Mardi Gras parade. Doubloon and cups too are thrown on the crowd along with the Mardi Gras
plastic beads. These beads as well as the other halloween party can be easily sourced from any of the local party store or one can even shop for the same from the various e-shopping sites on internet.
