Step-by-Step Instructions to Make Pewter Necklace
Follow the below given steps to make your pewter beads jewelry necklace.
-
Decide the length of your pewter necklace. Now Cut a length of soft monofilament line twice as long as the desired length of your necklace. Don't forget to include an extra length for the clasp, plus 4 inches.
-
Take the large pewter charm you've bought and thread it to the center of the monofilament line. Ensure to hold the ends of the line together.
-
Now take the black bugle bead over both ends of the monofilament line to the top of the pewter charm.
-
Take your pewter beads and thread a pewter bead over both lines to the bugle bead.
-
Now thread a black bugle bead then a pewter bead again. Repeat this till you get a 3-inch strand. End your beaded strand with a pewter bead.
-
After making the three inch bead strand, separate the two monofilament lines. Attach a paper clip to one of the lines- against the last pewter bead you have added. This is essential to hold the beads in place while you add more beads to the other strand.
-
Now thread a bugle bead over the single strand of the line not having the clip on it. After that thread a pewter bead. Repeat the process until you get a 2 inches length from the end of the line.
-
Now its turn to use other jewelry craft supplies. Take the pewter necklace clasp and thread its one half behind the last bead. Tie a double overhand knot in the monofilament line between the last bead and the clasp. Take out the excess line back down through the pewter and bugle beads on the strand. Bring in the excess line down into your necklace and cover the knot with jeweler's glue.
-
Lastly, remove the paper clip. Repeat the last two activities with the remaining monofilament line to make your pewter necklace complete.
