Carved Stone Beads |
The stones are often carved with miniature animals, flowers, and
designs to make beads. Animal types include elephants, lions, snakes,
dolphins, owls, bears, eagles, dogs, rabbits, dragons, wolves, frogs,
turtles, pigs, cats, sea turtles, horses, rhinos, roosters, whales,
birds, squirrels, hippos, and penguins. Stone which are carved include
tiger-eye, Dalmatian jasper, goldstone, hematite, red jasper, green
aventurine, lapis, leopardskin jasper, and rodonite. After being carved
the beads are polished with a hole of one millimeter in diameter.
Uses
The hand carved stone beads are used as pendants and in making
bracelets. These beads are also used in other jewelry.
