Mala Beads

Mala beads comprise of a string of 108 beads, with a "sumeru", i.e. one bead functioning as a summit bead. They are a wonderful accessory to meditation. The beads are supposed to be moved in a particular rhythm with the matching breath and the mantra. The procedure helps one in getting rid of so many ailments, common among them being sleep or excessive mental distraction.
