Nickel Plated Beads |
Nickel is a lustrous silver white, hard metal which is used in
plating jewelry and beads. Nickel is used for plating since the nickel coat
covers the area uniformly, does not build up on edges, and has very high
wear endurance. Nickel has superior corrosion resistance. Thus nickel is
used in plating certain metals beads like copper, zinc, steel, and iron.
Nickel, with its leveling and pore-filling characteristic, is also an
excellent undercoat for the precious metals by reducing the total amount of
the precious metal required to achieve performance specifications.
Uses
Nickel plated bead are often a part of jewelry because of their bright
lusture and corrosion resistance capability.
