Olivine Beads

Olivine has magnesium & iron elements whose ratio varies between the two end members of the series: forsterite (Mg-rich) and fayalite (Fe-rich). However, it is not officially recognized as a mineral. This stone belongs to the olivine group which is present in both mafic and ultramafic igneous rock as well as a primary mineral in certain metamorphic rocks. These have a high melting point which crystallizes from magma.
